Manager Maintenance (fulltime 40 uur per week)

EP NL Rijnmond Operations BV is an EP NL-company which operates and maintains the Rijnmond 1 and Rijnmond 2 power plants at Vondelingenplaat, Rotterdam. These power plants generate 1236MW of electricity and consist of gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, heat recovery steam generators, electrical switchgear, a water treatment plant and supportive systems.

You manage the maintenance activities of a combined cycle power plant facility to ensure safe and reliable operation against optimal cost. You will participate in the plant Management team and reports to the facility’s Plant Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the Maintenance team, consisting of two team leaders and seven technicians;
• manage maintenance activities to achieve high levels of safety, compliancy, reliability, output and heat rate;
• promote a proactive culture and a safe work environment;
• preparation and coordination of outages;
• coordinate priorities with Operations Manager;
• manage the maintenance workflow in the CMMS;
• report the progress of maintenance activities and take measures to improve performance;
• report maintenance cost compared to budget and take measures to prevent budget overruns and identify when savings are possible;
• analyse the root causes of plant failures, or limitations, and propose improvement measures’;
• take part in the management call out.

Qualifications:

• bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or process engineering;
• experience of working in the power sector or alternative sector with transferrable skills;
• experience of managing maintenance activities ;
• skilled communicator and able to motivate colleagues;
• fluent in Dutch and English language. Knowledge of German language is desired.
