At the Vertom group, we are looking for a colleague to strengthen the dynamic, international IT team covering businesses across countries. You’ll get room to work hands-on solving data puzzles and turn this data into value by bringing data together in our BI environment. Interaction with stakeholders will be key – so no ‘boring’ computer job. You’ll get the opportunity to take responsibility, develop yourself in different directions to learn what gives you energy.

No day here is the same, but in this role, the day-to-day will quite likely contain the some of the following facets:

1. Business acumen: Understanding of business processes and requirements, translating them into effective PowerBI solutions that address business needs;
2. Data modelling: Understanding how to design and create effective data models, relationships, and calculations to support accurate and insightful reporting;
3. Working with SQL queries and database structures;
4. Data transformation: Data cleaning, shaping and transforming using Power Query to ensure high-quality and usable data for reporting & analysis;
5. Performing data analysis in response to business use cases;
6. Ability to create visually meaningful dashboards and reports that effectively communicate insights to end-users;
7. Managing and maintaining PowerBI environments including user access, data refresh schedules, and troubleshooting any technical issues;
8. Integrating PowerBI with other systems and tools within the organization to streamline data flow and enhance overall BI capabilities.

Essential:

• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role;
• Good knowledge of key concepts around data gathering, querying, analysis & visualization;
• Experience using: PowerBI and SQL;
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both verbally and in writing;
• Team worker with the ability to work collaboratively and able to use own initiative.

Desirable:

• Knowledge on JetReport as well as other reporting tools;
• Experience working in an international environment;
• Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to seek ways to improve and promote quality;
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines and maintain focus.
