Introduction

At the location of ADM Europoort B.V. we process soybeans and rapeseed. We make various products from this, such as flour and oil for the food and animal feed industry. More than 325 people work at ADM Europoort in the bulk terminal, crush & extraction factory, refinery and soy protein concentrate (SPC) factory. These departments are supported by our own chemical and microbiological laboratory, maintenance & reliability department and the SHEQ department. We also work closely with our in-house contractors who provide (industrial) cleaning, scaffolding, insulation work and technical support.

The ADM Europoort office also houses large commercial and logistics departments, process automation and CAPEX project management teams; as well as departments for payroll, HR and IT.

The role

An opportunity has arisen for a Performance Excellence Leader within our plant.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the main responsibilities of this role are:

Coordinating and leading the continued evolution of our Performance Excellence System (PE)
Ensuring standardization of the provided tools and methods in compliance with the Performance Excellence Pillar House
Complying fully with local and safety regulations/standards and promote safety culture. Help ensure the department meets goals for (process) safety and health, environment, product quality, quantity, processing, costs and effectiveness
Collaborating closely with the Plant Leadership Team to align PE activities with strategic objectives, overseeing the local PE Plant Steering Team, and driving progress towards established goals.
Ensuring transparency and accountability through the robust tracking and reporting of cost and savings models, and delivering on expected savings at the Site Level
Providing guidance, education, and coaching to PE Pillar teams, empowering them to effectively utilize tools and methodologies aligned with PE implementation phases
Engaging collaboratively with PE Pillar Teams to ensure adherence to schedules, active participation, and tangible results

The candidate

The successful candidate will possess the following:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required
5+ years of experience in production/ Process or Project Management
Experience in Project Execution is a must
Solid affinity in providing hands-on solutions
Experience and participation in establishing of Management Systems
Problem-solving skill, critical thinking, negotiation and presentation skills
Technology adept (systems, operating platforms)
Must be able to work at strategic level and if requested tactical (hands-on)
Fluent/Proficient in Dutch and English is a must
Team player with focus on the shop floor
Customer solutions focused
Ideally a Black belt in Lean Six Sigma
Adept in cost/benefit analysis and alternative decision making
Experience in Food/validated environments, bio-tech or pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
