Valvoline Global Operations EMEA has a rewarding opportunity for a Sales & Operations Planner.

This position is responsible for sales and operations planning for VGO Europe, in close partnership with business, finance, and end to end supply chain teams.

You'd work with the Network Design model to build future supply chain network capabilities to meet evolving business growth objectives.

Sales and operations area

• Coordinates the S&OP & processes, its maturity and effectiveness for all the products to meet desired service levels and inventory objectives.
• Supports S&OP agenda to ensure latest demand, supply & capacity plans and financial /business plans are reconciled and in alignment with business objectives.
• Provide support to the team to deliver accurate results and deliver on commitments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and engage with leadership to drive the 5 steps of the S&OP process through product review, demand review (volume & $), supply review, financial reconciliation & Executive review (MBR).
• Supports executive MBR reviews and partner closely with leadership team of commercial, Product strategy, Finance, and supply chain/operations team.
• Ensure S&OP trade-offs are reviewed, and timely decisions are taken coming out of the MBR review followed by one-pager summary for the management.
• Develop scenario planning capabilities (4-36 months horizon for demand & supply scenario’s) to maximize operating income for the organization & inventory & capex investment for future years using OMP platform capabilities.
• Analyze contingencies and risks and propose solution to address the gap in line with business strategy and stocking policy.
• Planning metrics in role - LIFR, MAPE/BIAS, FVA, Inventory/DOH, SMOG, S&OP maturity measures etc.
• Periodically evaluate planning system parameters & settings (in SAP as well as OMP).
• Supports the execution of S&OP decisions by deploying an S&OE process (0-13 week) to address the short-term operational challenges & provide feedback to MBR if plans are not met.

Projects

• Lead the blueprint for the planning process improvement for S&OP, with the objective of moving towards autonomous planning, supported by sophisticated analytical capabilities.
• Supports implementation of different tools, especially from the OMP area, and is included into all relevant projects.

This role needs to establish relationship with key roles whether through the operational teams or through other process owners:

• Demand planners across different location across the world and business units in Valvoline
• S&OP coordinators across different geographies and business units
• Commercial (sales and marketing)
• Finances
• Supply chain (production, logistics, order management, quality management)
• Product development and costing
• Other process owners (procurement, portfolio planning, order management, etc.)

This role will have contacts with externals - major customers on ad hoc basis and strategic customers.

• 5+ years of experience as a S&O planner, it is preferred that partially from lube business. APICS - CSCP / CPIM or IBF - CPF certifications preferred.
• Experience with Advanced Planning Systems (OMP/Kinaxis/APO).
• Experience in OMP DP and OMP OPR is an advantage.
• Advanced Excel and Power point is essential.
• Basic knowledge in SAP and PowerBI.
• A proven track record to lead and drive operational improvement using process excellence tools.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant Supply Chain Planning experience including S&OP & S&OE processes in a Consumer-packaged goods or similarly complex sector.
• Ability to work independently in a structured and determined way.
• Ability to handle conflict and challenge status quo for improved process efficiencies.
• Team leader-coach: ability to lead, encourage and grow diverse talent in a complex landscape in the execution, strategies, and realization of functional and business goals.
• Ability to navigate through ambiguity, build positive relationships considering diverse perspectives & styles and gain cross-functional support to deliver the strategy and objectives.
• Fluent English - spoken and written.
• Good presentation & data visualization skills
