Process Control Engineer Maintenance

You are responsible for maintaining and developing process control and safety systems for our Catalloy and Polybutene plant. Because the size (150 employees) of the facility you will deal with a great variety of disciplines.

As a process control engineer at LyondellBasell you are part of the Maintenance & Site Projects organisation which includes 40 employees and fixed contractors.

Some core responsibility are :

• Actively contribute to our GOAL ZERO safety management principles;
• Responsible for guiding the Safety Life Cycle phases, regarding Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), in accordance with the IEC61511;
• Manage, maintain and optimize various process control systems (DCS, PLC, OSIsoft PI, ESD,….) to contribute to the reliability, safety, costs and quality of the production process;
• Solving problems on a daily basis and deal with contractors, like Siemens, Honeywell;
• Leading and executing site projects in the field of above mentioned systems;
• Technical network core team member;
• Verifying and checking Safety Integrity Level (SIL) verifications;
• Developing, verifying and checking the Safety Requirements Specifications (SRS);
• Checking, conducting and reviewing FAT / SAT test documents;
• Developing the Long-Range Plan (LRP) for obsolescence systems;
• Defining, developing and giving systems training courses on the site;
• Advising management on process modifications, installation expansions and replacements due to for example obsolescence and projects.

• BSc. In Process Control or skilled by experience or equivalent;
• Minimal 5 years’ experience in a comparable process control environment;
• Knowledge and experience in DCS, PLC, OSIsoft PI, ESD,…. Systems;
• Fluency in English and Dutch preferred.
