Category Manager

As our Category Manager you will be working closely together with stakeholders across the organization. You are responsible for procurement activities, and you will apply a total cost of ownership approach.

Stolt Tankers a division of Stolt-Nielsen Limited (SNL), is the specialist in transporting bulk liquids: chemicals, clean petroleum, gases, vegetable oils, biofuels and oleochemicals.

What you will be doing
As a Category Manager within Stolt Tankers, you will be part of the CM team and responsible for the implementation of the defined strategy across the assigned portfolio of categories and contracts. You will actively take part in supplier management and identify needs for future procurement along with internal stakeholders.

Responsible for spending optimization and delivery of tangible cost management and efficiency of procurement projects, applying total cost of ownership approach.

• Manage contract administration, including conducting contract analyses and overseeing contract execution
• Lead supplier performance management by analysing supplier results, monitoring cost development, and driving performance review cycles and audits.
• Responsible for stakeholder management and alignment.
• Identify opportunities for more (cost) efficient order delivery, implementing optimal set up and agreements with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Determine data needed to evaluate and report KPI’s for suppliers.

• Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience in tactical procurement roles and contract negotiation, preferably in a maritime environment Experience in project management is also a plus.
• Strong awareness of the latest trends in procurement and sustainability.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Team player solution-oriented mindset, with attention to details.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal as well as written.
