Plan Approval Surveyor (Tonnage)

We are looking for a Plan Approval Surveyor Tonnage who wants to join us in our mission - Shaping a World of Trust.

Within our Dutch Plan Approval department, our team of 40 employees are involved in researching and evaluating designs of ships and offshore installations against class rules and statutory regulations with regards to safety and the environment. In this we also act on behalf of a very large number of flag states.

As Plan Approval Surveyor Tonnage, you will perform tonnage calculations and issue certificates for ITC 69 convention and SUEZ canal authorities tonnage regulations. The calculations concern various types of ships: yachts, work vessels, tankers, dredging and cargo vessels.

Working in the world of Maritime Technology: Assessing design drawings of ships, being the point of contact for our maritime customers and working together with colleagues in an international team!

In addition, you recognize yourself in the following profile:

• Completed mbo-4 in Maritime Engineering or another related field;
• A number of years of experience in the maritime sector, experience with ship design or on board experience is an advantage;
• You are able to start the conversation at all levels; You have good communication skills in Dutch and English;
• You are able to switch gears and keep an overview between multiple projects;
• You can work both independently and in a team.

You can work hybrid with us: partly at our office in Rotterdam and from home. You can assume 3 days at the office and 2 days from home on a full-time basis.
