What will you be doing?
Our Refinery in Rotterdam is a modern plant with the newest technical features. The Maintenance Manager is primary responsible for the maintenance in the factory. You will be coordinating the technical team, buying parts/resources, taking care of the reliability and making sure that the operation runs according to plan.
Furthermore, you will be defining, implementing, managing the systems, structure and processes necessary to achieve and sustain the maintenance.
The Maintenance manager is able to translate the business goals into maintenance goals, which support and contribute to the organization’s business results. After defining a plan, it is important to reach mutual agreement with all supported operating departments on the required capacity specifications. Ideally in terms of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) which, measures the capacity losses related to quality, availability and performance. To carry out your work, you will receive a yearly budget that helps you achieve the agreed-upon capacity and asset reliability.
To improve your department and team you carry out periodically benchmarks of your performance with internal and external sources to identify opportunities for improvement.
Moreover, you ensure the assigned department provides maintenance plans, which support the reliability.
Another task will be implementing organizational structure and systems that promote a proactive approach for the maintenance department. Which include defining roles and responsibilities, measuring performances, giving feedback and providing career development plans.
Together with your Team Leaders, you will provide a structured work process for performing maintenance work. A long with ensuring the effective use and integration of Information technologies.
The maintenance Manager is an important member of the Management Team. Your work is of great value for the company. However, before work comes safety. We expect our Maintenance Manager to value safety like no other!
What do we expect from our new Maintenance Manager?
A People Manager, experienced in coaching and motivating co-workers. Someone who is able to so develop and sustain a continuous improvement culture. You are a problem solver who is able to make decisions. Furthermore, you are great in communication and a safety advocate!
Additionally, we expect:
- You hold a BSc or MSc degree in Engineering;
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in managing and improving reliable maintenance systems;
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the process industry (preferable in food);
- Fluent in English and Dutch.
