Responsible for working across teams/functions and customer channels in direct support of executing the customer strategy, assisting in the operational execution of the existing customer base, business development and new account generation through managing the relevant business administration, providing analytical support and insights, and seeking continuous improvement opportunities.The scope of the role will influence the grade – this can include financial accountability, geographical scope, leadership responsibilities and overall level of responsibility.

Purpose of the role

Provide operational support to Sales and the business for a channel within a market to maintain and grow the business. Provide additional support to other channels within the market as directed by your team leader.

Key Results/ Accountabilities expected from role:
  • Provide operational support for Business Development,  Lead Generation and Validation
  • Support tender preparation for new customers and customer renewals  for the market / channel
  • Complete customer setup activities – including ensuring E-Ordering is set up correctly and functioning at all times
  • Complete Contract Management activities for the market / channel
  • Work on Customer facing projects for the market / channel
  • Execute Customer Communications for the market / channel
  • Work with other operational teams, including Technical Support, Product Regulatory Compliance, Operational Pricing, Sales & Operational Planning and Quality to complete sales & customer support activities.
  • Leverage insights from the MI team to ensure Sales teams have the right information and to work on CI & CX projects
  • Complete CI and CX activities in the market / channel
  • Other activities as delegated by the Sales Support team leader

Experience & Expertise

  • 3 Years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Essential – Knowledgeable on the Order to Cash Process and System
  • Strong analytical skills (incl. mastery in MS Office Excel)
  • Detail oriented, self-directed, organized and efficient at time management
  • Initiative and self-starter. Experienced in managing small projects from A to Z.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in addition to interpersonal communication skills
  • Fluency / High level of written and spoken in French and English is mandatory
  • Fluency / High level of written and spoken in Dutch is preferred
  • Excellent team player
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and negotiating with others
  • Knowledge of the Automotive industry, business and key customers
  • Knowledge of the Industrial business and key customers
  • Word- and Powerpoint skills
  • Knowledge of architecture in SAP (NIKE template)

Essential Education
Bachelor degree or equivalent.

Desirable criteria and qualifications:
  • Good understanding of our systems, in particular SAP, Salesforce, LCF, EDI Setups and E-Ordering Portal.
  • Developing Professional in customer relations management or operational excellence
  • Project planning and project management knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrable strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of change management programs.

Any Other Relevant Information:
  • Shared resource between Auto Lubes (~70%) and Industrial (~30%)
  • Work closely with sales organization (i.e. decision-makers) in order to support them through analysis and to anticipate their needs
  • Collaborate with GBS on day-to-day operations and maintenance
  • Leverage successful processes and best practices across the teams (Auto and Industrial)
  • Relocation: not applicable, position is under local Dutch conditions.
  • This is an office- based role, location is the refinery office in Europoort. Candidates must be in the possession of a car to be able to reach the location.
  • Candidates who do not have the required level in the French and English language (verbal and written) do not need to apply to this position.

Other Requirements (eg Travel, Location):
  • This position is office based at our central Dutch BP office near our BP Refinery - Europoort Rotterdam.
  • Candidates must be in the posession of transport towards our location. The location can't be reached by public transport.
