Viterra Chartering B.V., part of the Viterra group, provides vessel transportation for a wide range agricultural commodities and other dry bulk products. Viterra Chartering has office locations in Rotterdam and Singapore, with over 50+ employees divided in to multiple teams: Freight Trade, Operations (Voyage and Time Chartering), Bunker desk, Technical and Vetting management/Sustainability, Freight accounting, Risk- and Position management, Business Development/Business Intelligence. Viterra Chartering operates a fleet of 190+ vessels under voyage or time charter, delivering to more than 300 ports across 60 countries worldwide.
Viterra connects producers to consumers to supply sustainable, traceable and quality-controlled agricultural products. We source grains, oilseeds, sugar and cotton from the major growing regions and use our extensive network of assets to store, transport and process them into a range of value added products.
Our business covers the whole supply chain from the farm gate to the consumer. We have strong relationships with thousands of producers and farming co-operatives in key growing areas of the world. This means we are able to oversee the careful handling of products from origination to destination, allowing us to deliver to the exact quality and specifications our consumers require.
Viterra Chartering B.V. plays a critical role for the business, operating a network of chartered vessels for the timely delivery of a wide range of dry bulk commodities all over the world. The primary function of Viterra Chartering B.V. is to commercially manage, execute and operate all dry sea freight requirements and risks that arise within Viterra’s grains and oilseeds trading activities. Each year, we transport approximately 55 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo all around the world, which makes us one of the bigger companies operating in dry bulk shipping.
