In The Netherlands, the Hexion Versatic Acids & Derivatives business has manufacturing locations at Pernis and Moerdijk, also the European Headquarters is located at Rotterdam-Pernis where the Human Resources department is located.

The Hexion VAD Internship Program is an opportunity for MBO and Bachelor’s students to apply their knowledge in a 3 to 6 months project within the Hexion Human Resources Department.

You will support the HR Department (enthusiastic team of 4: HR Operations Partner Europe/Asia, HR Subject Matter Expert Payroll Europe Asia, HR Specialist NL and Training and Vitality Coordinator NL) by performing administrative and secretarial HR tasks in compliance with global and local HR guidelines.

• Keeping country specific documents e.g. employee handbook up to date;
• Re-organizing and digitalizing all HR folders for European en Asian locations;
• Create HR SharePoint pages for Belgium, China and India;
• Ensuring up to date HR information systems;
• Keeping employee file up-to-date;
• Support in organizing HR events e.g. jubilee celebrations, Welcome@Hexion day;
• Screen and assign, associate and managers, online requests to the appropriate colleague;
• Takes notes and assign action items during HR meetings;
• Drafts employment contracts and letters for employees;
• Support in recruitment activities e.g. draft job descriptions, online publications of job-ad’s, pre-screen candidates

• English language is required, Dutch language preferred
• Knowledge of the French or Chinese language is a big plus
• Enjoy creating structure in a complex administrative environment
• Ability to collaborate and contribute to success within a high-performance team environment is required
• A natural curiosity and creative approach
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

If currently an employee of the Company, you must have current satisfactory work performance and in most cases, have been in your current role for 18 months.
