We are now seeking the above position reporting into the VP EMEAI Operations with a dotted line into the global Engineering Technical Centre, to lead the regional deployment and sustainment of Performance Excellence (PE), drive improvements in revenue and cost through the development of efficient processes, utilizing the zero-loss mindset through PE & to provide oversight and direction to PE Practitioners, Operations leaders and Technical Team leaders.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute on the short and long term PE&CI strategy for the different Business Units and the region.
  • Ensure that ADM processing plants are sufficiently prepared for the launch of PE implementations and to manage the ongoing deployment and sustainability of the PE system.
  • Support, coach & mentor the different BU and regional operations leaders to make PE ‘the way of working’.
  • Builds strong relationships and manage expectations of Operations, Technical Teams and Corporate Leadership.
  • Align with strategic objectives for the Business Unit/Division/Functional Area/Plant and departments outside operations (Commercial, Logistics, Supply Chain, HR) and ensure the Practitioner team executes PE&CI to accomplish them.
  • Align and strengthen the synergies with manufacturing analytics, technical training and business CI to reduce losses.
  • Train, coach, mentor and evaluate the performance of the PE Practitioners who serve as the direct bridge between the tactical/operational and pivotal initiatives in the organization.
  • Key change facilitator to drive change, using strong PE system deployment tools and methodologies to handle multi-site implementations and sustainment.
  • Review engagements with Practitioners to understand gaps in the PE implementation process and review proposed solutions.
  • Ensure major site implementation blockers are highlighted and communicated to Operations leadership.
  • Exercise independent discretion to escalate communication to Operations Leaders, Technical teams leaders, and Business Unit Leaders as deemed appropriate.
  • Coach practitioners in the field and perform layered audits / assessments for the evaluation of PE results and consistently across the region.
  • Ensure that cross-functional project teams execute problem-solving initiatives utilizing PE&CI tools, such as kaizen, GEMBA, DMAIC, value stream mapping, and other CI process improvement tools as requested by operational, business and technical teams.
  • To serve as a subject matter authority in identifying losses, cost savings, colleague development, process improvements, and work culture opportunities, through the use of PE.

Your profile
  • Educated to degree level in an engineering/manufacturing or related discipline.
  • In depth experience in manufacturing/processing and/or Continuous Improvement
  • Experience in operations leadership in a regional capacity.
  • Experience in a continuous improvement systems (ADM PE, Lean, or TPM).
  • Good Interpersonal skills, able to gain ‘buy in’ from colleagues at all levels/disciplines.
  • Mentoring and Facilitation skills.
