Validation Specialist Analytical Chemistry - Biomedical Polymers

The Biomaterials Business Unit develops, produces and sells monomers and degradable polymers as raw materials for the medical and pharmaceutical industry. Our products are used, among other things, in the production of surgical aids and slow-release medicines (injection pills).
The products are developed and produced (often to customer specifications) in our factories in Gorinchem and the United States.

The Corbion Biomaterials Quality Control department ensures the raw materials, monomers and degradable polymers meet all the required specifications by analyzing the products according to validated methods. This to make sure that our customers receive the consistent high quality product from Corbion that they have become accustomed to.

The QC Specialist Analytics is responsible for ensuring QC procedures, systems and processes effectively meet the Quality requirements and business needs.

• Development and/or (re)-validation of analytical methods according to ICH Q7 guidelines
• Purchase and qualification of new equipment
• Support the QC department with Out of specifications, Deviations, CAPA"s, Change Control, Root-Cause analysis and Personnel Training on (QC) procedures
• Support in maintaining and continuously improving the quality management system/QC processes in compliance with ISO 9001 /ICH Q7/G(A)MP
• Participation in Maintenance/Compliance and Projects

In addition we expect the following qualifications:

• Bachelor"s degree or working level with > 2 years" experience in a relevant field
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ICH Q7, GMP
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, in English and in Dutch
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally to achieve business outcomes
• Attention for detail, commitment to quality, accuracy, efficiency and consistency
