Job description

Does working in the fast-moving world of liquid logistics interest you? Would you like to join the world's largest producer of sustainably farmed turbot and sole? Become a People Officer.

As a People Officer you review and streamline general HR procedures to boost efficiency and effectiveness. You are the first point of contact for employees and external stakeholders regarding people-related issues.

Stolt-Nielsen Limited (SNL) are experts in bulk-liquid logistics and sustainable aquaculture. We also invest in businesses related to these fields.

What you will be doing
In this dynamic role, you support our People department, employees and managers with day-to-day operations. From handling administrative tasks to answering a wide range of HR related queries, you help keep everything running smoothly. Our workforce is diverse and international, so you will be interacting with people from all backgrounds and cultures. Every day is different and that’s exactly what makes this role engaging.
Furthermore, you will play an important part in making things digital, improving and handling tasks related to employees throughout their time at the company. This role supports the transformation of traditional HR functions into agile, tech-enabled people’s operations.

Key responsibilities
  • Handle day-to-day administration for the People Department.
  • Be the first point of contact for HR related questions.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding through workflows and communication tools.
  • Track and manage absences.
  • Create people-related documents like contracts, addenda, and confirmation letters.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and keep it updated in internal and external systems.
  • Provide help with relocations of new and existing employees.
  • Take part in digital projects to digitize and automate routine HR tasks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher professional education.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an HR-related role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to keep information confidential.
  • Able to work well independently.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
