As (Senior) Analyst Finance GBD and M&A you will play an important role in the execution of projects that have a large impact on the realization of Vopak’s strategic ambitions in three ways.

1) For the projects that are developed within the GBD team (mainly related to fulfilling our ambitions in BESS), you will be the finance representative in the projects (currently two projects in the Netherlands and two in Belgium). Furthermore you can provide finance support to the Business Units in the development of the 'must win battle' BD projects.

2) The M&A activities include supporting strategic acquisitions (support to Global Business Development and/or BU’s), joint-ventures or divestment processes. Your role can vary from financial modelling, project management, due diligence and preparing board materials.

3) Last but not least, you will play an important role in our strategic finance activities. This includes among others the bi-annual update of Vopak’s Valuation Model, financial impact assessment of future shareholder remuneration policies (e.g. Share Buyback Program) and financial assessment of large transactions that have an impact on Vopak’s global portfolio. The objective is to translate detailed financial analyses into Executive Board level presentations.

• A master’s degree in Finance/Business Administration/Economics or a relevant educational field

• Proven experience with financial modeling, valuations (discounted cash flow analysis) and building a business case

• Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions

• Strong strategic orientation

• Knowledge of Vopak finance systems

• Capable of performing hands-on analyses based on (financial) data

• Preparing ‘board-level’ output enabling decision-making on key strategic topics

• Strong communication skills both in writing and verbally, both in Dutch and English

• Cooperation with all internal stakeholders but with an independent view
