In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your strong people skills and a continuous improvement mindset to manage our fleet's crewing processes efficiently. Your experience in managing stakeholder interests will be key in driving departmental operations and implementing effective routines.
As a Crewing Manager Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Global Manager SPS to implement our Manning Strategy by supervising daily operations and promoting standardization in crewing processes. You will champion change management initiatives, ensuring compliance with crew documentation, and support the Shipboard Management Team with onboard disciplinary actions. Additionally, you will oversee personnel-related matters, coordinate promotions of senior officers, and integrate technological improvements into our crewing processes.

In your role as Crewing Manager Supervisor, you will be responsible for executing fleet-wide crew planning and ensuring that all crew documentation follows company policies and industry standards. You'll supervise daily personnel-related matters within the department and assist senior management with disciplinary actions onboard, ensuring adherence to company policies, and union-specific requirements. Your role will involve spearheading the technological optimization of crewing processes, collaborating closely with SPS (Sea Personnel Service) Process analysts and our Business Technology Department for seamless integration. Additionally, you will mentor crewing managers and officers, coordinate promotions and performance evaluations, and liaise with third-party manning agents to ensure efficient operations. You will work extensively with the Global Manager Sea Personnel and the Fleet Management Teams to align crewing activities with strategic goals.
- Responsible for overall fleet-wide crew planning and execution, including coordinating technological improvements in crewing processes.
- Ensure compliance with all crew documentation.
- Handle departmental daily personnel-related matters efficiently
- Assist the Shipboard Management Team with onboard disciplinary actions.
- Promote and coordinate Senior Officers with Fleet Management Teams.
- Mentor crewing managers and officers.
- Familiarity with the technical aspects of ship management, particularly in crew management; prior experience in crewing is an advantage.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience and thinking level.
- Knowledge of workforce planning and personnel management.
- Excellent communication skills, a proactive team-oriented approach, and adaptability to change and implementation.
- Strong commitment to a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset.
