Lab Technician - Biomedical Polymers

As a Lab Technician in Corbion’s Polymer Technology group, you’ll play a crucial role in the practical execution of development projects focused on bioresorbable and implantable polymers for medical and pharmaceutical applications. • Execute practical lab work for development projects, focusing on polymer synthesis and process optimization.
• Independently plan and carry out research and experiments according to established protocols, with support from senior colleagues when needed.
• Document procedures and results in line with Corbion standards.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, monitor progress, and adjust as necessary to ensure quality outcomes.
• Present and discuss results with your team and other departments.
• Maintain lab facilities, equipment, and safety standards, including ordering supplies and ensuring stock levels.
• Support onboarding and training of new colleagues and interns.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of lab protocols.
• Foster a safe and orderly work environment, actively participating in EHS and quality activities.
• Collaborate closely with scientists, senior technicians, and other team members, especially during short, focused project sprints.

• BSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent (MBO 4 with relevant lab experience is also welcome).
• 1-4 years of experience in a lab environment, ideally with polymers or chemical processes.
• Strong practical skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Proactive, pragmatic, and hands-on approach.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); Dutch is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a GMP or highly regulated environment.
• Experience with process scale-up and transferring lab processes to production is a plus.
