Accounting Supervisor

As an Accounting Supervisor within our Financial Control Department, your primary responsibilities will encompass overseeing the financial control of accounts primarily related to Dutch VAT, statutory accounting, and reporting. You will be integral to ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of statutory accounts, VAT declarations, and income tax calculations for various NL entities. You will work in an international environment and global team.

As an Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for the financial control of accounts within the Financial Control Department. You will prepare and report statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Dutch GAAP standards, while coordinating interactions with external auditors for auditing requirements. Your duties include external reporting to Statistics Netherlands and managing NL VAT declarations on a monthly and quarterly basis. Additionally, you will calculate and manage income tax for NL companies, providing detailed information to external consultants. You will oversee the ledgers of various holding companies and handle financial reporting for small Spanish entities, including tax and VAT submissions. Your role involves calculating and booking quarterly bareboat hires and coordinating tax certificates with follow-ups, ensuring accurate and timely financial oversight and reporting.

• Preparing and reporting statutory accounts, including interaction with external auditors.
• Managing external reporting to Statistics Netherlands.
• Completing NL VAT declarations monthly/quarterly.
• Calculating income tax for NL ledgers and assisting with tax issues.
• Overseeing ledgers for various holding companies and Spanish entities.
• Handling ad hoc accounting tasks and administrative duties.
• Arranging and following up on tax certificates.

• HEAO BE/BA or SPD degree with experience in accounting with NL VAT.
• Minimum of 4 years of work experience
• Sound practical knowledge of IFRS and applicable Dutch GAAP.
• Experience with Tax (VAT and Income tax).
• Experience within a multinational environment.
• Strong spreadsheet and analytical skills, particularly in Oracle ERP systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and be well organized.
