Shift Leader – Xycle Europoort (Full-time)

As a Shift Leader at Xycle, you will play a key role in the start-up phase and become a driving force behind the future success of our plant. You are the operational lead during your shift, ensuring smooth and safe operations, compliance with procedures, and achievement of production targets. You will lead a team of operators and act as the first point of contact on the shop floor.

• Commissioning: Be involved from day one. You will actively participate in testing, start-up, and fine-tuning of the installations, gaining in-depth knowledge of the plant as it comes online.
• Leadership & coordination: Lead a team of 3–4 operators and ensure structured handovers between shifts.
• Process monitoring: Safeguard continuous, efficient, and safe operation of the pyrolysis process.
• Safety & quality: Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain product quality standards.
• Technical ownership: Monitor the technical integrity of the installation through inspections. Act quickly on deviations or failures and coordinate solutions. Contribute to developing procedures.
• Planning & reporting: Prepare shift schedules and report performance to the Production Manager.

We are not looking for someone who simply ‘keeps things running’, but a team player with a sustainability mindset.

• A completed VAPRO B or C qualification, or at least an MBO-4 degree in a technical field (Process Technology or Chemical Engineering).
• Several years of experience in a supervisory role within a (chemical) process environment. You combine people management with strong analytical and communication skills.
• In possession of (or willing to obtain) VCA, first aid (BHV), and forklift certification.
• A pioneering mindset and proactive attitude. You enjoy shaping a new installation and see unexpected situations as opportunities to grow your technical expertise.

• Salary: €3,500 – €4,250 gross per month (full-time, depending on experience).
• Shift allowance: Fixed 30% allowance (5-shift rotation).
