This role is perfect for a commercially driven professional with a deep understanding of specialty polymers or related chemical technologies, and a proven track record of creating and converting new business opportunities.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Design and execute sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue and margin goals.
- Balance the management of existing key accounts with proactive pursuit of new customers.
New Business Development & Growth
- Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities in biomedical applications, from early-stage prospects to commercial agreements.
- Build and manage a strong, opportunity-rich pipeline to secure sustainable growth.
Continuous Improvement & Internal Collaboration
- Challenge and improve existing commercial processes, tools, and structures for greater efficiency and agility.
- Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration (R&D, operations, marketing, regulatory).
Market Intelligence & Positioning
- Track market trends, competitor moves, and emerging technologies to anticipate customer needs.
- Translate market insights into actionable sales and development strategies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of sales experience in specialty polymers, chemicals, or similar high-value materials, with a strong focus on growth and lead conversion.
- Proven success in generating and closing complex deals in a B2B technical environment.
- Experience working in or with medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or biomedical materials is a strong plus.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and deal-closing skills.
- Strong commercial drive.
- Excellent at building trust and long-term relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement mindset — actively seeks ways to enhance processes, tools, and organizational effectiveness.
- Strong analytical, forecasting, and reporting capabilities.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Forms, etc.).
- Collaborative and adaptable in a fast-changing global business environment.
