Who we are:

Rail Force One opened its doors in 2016 as a traction provider in the Netherlands. With its modern locomotives and trained engineers as key assets, the company transports freight trains carrying various products such as bulk goods, liquids (in tank wagons), or containers and trailers within the Netherlands and Germany. The customer portfolio includes a wide range of companies, from shipping companies to manufacturers, raw material traders, and logistics service providers.

Objective of the role: Rail Force One aims to expand its European transport activities and is seeking a motivated Team Leader Production (TLPRO) with experience as a national team leader. The TLPRO must be able to inspire and develop the team of nationally certified engineers, with crucial certification as a VVRV examiner for Annex V + VI of the Railway Act.

Safety is central to the train operation process, and as TLPRO – National, you are responsible for the knowledge, behavior, and satisfaction of the engineers. You contribute to safety awareness and ensure that safety procedures are followed. You lead a team of 15-20 people, are part of the Emergency Response Team, and coordinate with Prorail AL in emergencies. You collaborate with other team leaders and report to the Manager Production.

• Provides training and examines according to Annex V + VI - Railway Act Art. 51, 4th paragraph, b;
• Ensures the application and smooth progress of any (re)instructions and associated exams;
• Makes agreements and informs Staff Planning, Manager Production, and Manager Operations about professional guidance and (re)instructions;
• Supports Examiner, Production Management;
• Primarily responsible for safety-critical processes and increasing the safety awareness of field personnel (including external personnel suppliers);
• Conducts evaluation and performance reviews with Human Resources for individuals in your team;
• Ensures the PPE of employees and a smooth onboarding process;
• Manages, coaches, coordinates, and guides field personnel, acting as a father figure to them;
• Takes ownership and is capable of independently steering processes;
• Participates in the emergency duty roster.

Requirements:

• Minimum vocational education (mbo) + work-thinking level;
• Must be certified as VB Engineer/Wagon Controller;
• Minimum of 10 years of work experience as an Engineer;
• Fluent in Dutch and English;
• Minimum German level B1;
• Possession of VVRV Examiner Annex V + VI – or ambition to grow into this role.
