Vetting Superintendent

As Vetting Superintendent you will supervise, control, and coordinate all vetting and ship clearance matters for a group of allocated ships.

The Vetting Superintendent is responsible for maintaining direct communication with customers regarding ship clearance matters, vetting reports and inspections. This means performing different kind of tasks with a flexible and customer-oriented mindset.

• Oversee the day to day running of the Stolt Tankers vetting system for his/her assigned fleet of vessels.
• Assist SMT’s with guidance in preparation for customer vetting inspections, including attendance on board were deemed necessary.
• Manage the owner’s comments in response to vetting reports.
• Manage the incident notification process, including incident reporting in cooperation with SSHEQ department.
• Develop and maintain close working relationship with the oil majors.

• Chemical tanker and ship management experience (Master, Chief Officer). Vetting (Marine superintendent) experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Excellent multitasking, organizational, and inter-departmental collaboration skills.
• Flexible and customer-oriented mindset.
