As a Superintendent, your key role is to consistently maintain the standards of safety, performance and condition required by the regulation and customers. You'll manage and support the SMT members on board the ships, motivating and coaching them to care for their ships, instilling a healthy safety culture, and encouraging them to maintain "good ships" while reducing the ship's cost of operation.

Stolt Tankers, a division of Stolt-Nielsen Limited (SNL), is the specialist in transporting bulk liquids: chemicals, clean petroleum products, vegetable oils, biofuels, and oleochemicals. As the Superintendent, you will prioritize safe and environmentally friendly operations onboard assigned ships. You will ensure the diligent implementation and effective utilization of Shipowning Policies and Procedures on all your ships while guaranteeing full compliance with all class and regulatory requirements. You will manage dry-docking planning and execution, support ship performance through technical guidance, procurement, and expedited services, and monitor compliance with Oil Major Requirements. Budget development, monitoring and control are key responsibilities, alongside regular ship visits for condition assessment, safety meetings, emergency repair. You'll evaluate ship performance and SMT members, drive policy improvement, and share valuable insights with peers to enhance safety records. Occasionally, you'll perform secondary superintendent duties for other ships and back up your colleagues who will be travelling or on vacation.

• Ensure safe and environmentally friendly operations onboard assigned ships.
• Implement and utilize Shipowning Policies and Procedures diligently.
• Guarantee full compliance with all class and regulatory requirements.
• Plan and execute dry dockings in line with company policies.
• Conduct ship visits for inspections and safety meetings, ensuring feedback for improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical related studies.
• 2-5 years of seagoing experience, ideally with a minimum of 2 years as a senior officer or as a superintendent.
• Effective communication skills in English, both orally and in written form.
• Broad general knowledge of shipping and environmental laws and regulations.
• Strong decision-making and leadership skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications and quick learner of specialized software.
